Who we are today

It began with a dream to sail around the world

The Travely-Family crew circumnavigated the globe twice aboard the sailing yacht Lady Mary, passed through Point Nemo, rounded Cape Horn and reached Antarctica. The ocean became more than a backdrop for a beautiful story: it became our home and workplace, where every day demands preparation, responsibility and the ability to work as a team.

Today that experience continues through professional expeditions, bespoke journeys, educational projects, documentary films and books. The family circumnavigation remains the beginning of Travely-Family, but no longer defines the scale of the project.

Travely-Family story · Lady Mary · since 2013

Twice around the world

Aboard Lady Mary, the Klochkov family crossed the Atlantic, Pacific, Indian and Southern Oceans, reached Point Nemo – the oceanic pole of inaccessibility – rounded Cape Horn and sailed to Antarctica.

This story is not only about the route. It also encompasses years of life aboard, the children's education, self-sufficient passages, repairs, storms and thousands of decisions for which the crew took full responsibility.

Films, a book and a living archive

The Travely-Family story is preserved in documentary films, Marina Klochkova's book With Children Around the World, publications and an extensive shipboard journal.

The project's films have received awards at Russian maritime and travel film festivals. The old website archive contains more than 600 chronicles – publications about the circumnavigations, Antarctica, sailing, countries and people, as well as technical advice, formalities, adventures and the psychology of a team living in a confined space.
